Which means the Pats are going to pass on him, another 3-4 team is going to draft him, he's going to get tons of sacks, and everybody is going to complain.

His combine numbers are pretty similar to those of Clay Matthews yet he's 23lbs heavier, do you still think he won't go in the top 60? Although Matthews isn't my cup of tea I think plenty of teams would give up a top 60 pick to get a hold of someone like him.

Very strong draft. I've been on the Jarvis Jenkins bandwagon since day 1 and demand you switch Casey with him. Other than that, great job.
Gilchrist had a very solid combine by the way. Very flexible player that has the ability to play cb and safety.
17 - Gabe Carimi, T, Wisonsin - meet your RT for the next 10 years
27 - TRADE - to someone for a #1 in 2012 plus a 4th the team takes Jake Locker
33 - Muhammad Wilkerson, Temple, RDE - versatile, can play end or tackle in four man fronts
60 - Jon Baldwin WR Pittsburgh - Add outside presence and red zone threat
73 - Ras-I Dowling, CB - adds to a secondary that all of a sudden is pretty good, could play safety in a pinch
92 - James Carpenter OT Alabama - would kick inside, adds more youth and depth to the line
123 - Greg Romeus, DE, Pittsburgh - what the heck
147 (from earlier trade) - Ricky Elmore DE Arizona - crank up the competition at OLB
156 - Greg McElroy QB Alabama - boring I know..
184 - David Carter DT UCLA - more depth for the d line, bye bye Stroud, we hardly knew ye
Free Agent
Alex Green RB Hawaii
All this and two first round picks next year, pretty good two year haul for the Patriots.

I don't think he's worth a top 60 pick for the Pats' scheme. No reason he can't put up 10 sacks in a scheme like GB's though. Heck, I could see the Pats trading out of 28 so a team can get Reed

Trades
28+92 for 23
33 for 72, 88 and NO 2012 #2
60 for 64 and 160
74 for 82 and 146
123 and 160 for 112
No Light, No Mankins, Go after a OLB in FA
17 DE Watt--Best 5 technique in draft
23 OT Carimi--RT moving Vollmer to left
64 OLB Carter--luxury pick, ST demon
72 RB Murray--4.37!!
82 G Boling--solid G
88 Traded for a 2012 #2
112 RB Carter ...DH recommend
146 G Moffitt .....more Wisconsin guys
156 CB Burney....a little greedy here
184 QB McElroy...sleeper??
Lower picks a bit off....but reasonable.
We get all these guys and still end up with 2 more #2s in 2012.
OL of Vollmer, Connolly, Koppen, Kaczur, and Carimi with 2 new solid backups.
Reed is 7/8 of an inch shorter and has 1 1/2 inch shorter arms compared to Cunningham That's not going to cut it as a top 60 pick.
Reed's elite (1.54) 10-yd split will though. He was quicker than AJ Green, Jerrel Jernigan, Von Miller, Robert Quinn and Randall Cobb. His 10-yd split is, dare I say, Clay Matthews like!! The more I read about this kid the more I like him.

Exactly, he's a Clay Matthews type. The other 3-4 teams will drool over him while we pick up a bigger guy who plays the run better.
