Default Browns officially switch from 3-4 to 4-3(Semi OT)

Cleveland Browns 4-3 Defense Switch: How This Has Altered Much More Than Just the Defense | Dawg Scooper: A Cleveland Browns News Source

Not sure if this had already been posted. If so, please merge. So whatever 3-4 defensive player you had pegged for the Cleveland Browns may need to be changed. They pick @ #6 so this could possibly cause a trickle down effect for the pats. Especially if the cowboys opt for a CB or T, which would be great scenario for the pats.

Here's my very preliminary take on how this may work out:

1 - CAR - FAIRLEY or DAREUS: Likely DT (either), if they don't go for a QB.
2 - DEN - VON MILLER: Also reverting to 4-3, already re-signed Bailey. Seems like their biggest need would by OLB (and Fox might want to "make a splash").
3 - BUF - OPEN QUESTION: Nominally a 3-4, but actually playing a hybrid which Coach Gailey has said he expects to continue. Run defense was atrocious at every level, starting with their D-Line. They're thin, but youthful at NT/DT; very thin, and relatively old/"un-hefty" at DE. They might've had more OLB pass rush last year without the injuries, so maybe they're going for run-stopping beef at DE? Could be DAREUS/FAIRLEY, WATT or even JORDAN.
4 - CIN - AJ GREEN (if Palmer is appeased by the OC change) or a QB (if he's not).
5 - ARZ - OPEN QUESTION(s): They have so many open questions that they're likely to be picking in the top five again next year no matter what they do in this draft. But I don't think that the D-Line is among their biggest needs. Since their OLBs (Porter/Haggans) are a combined 66 years old, maybe they reach for ALDON SMITH? OTOH, maybe the Pats have a trading partner here.
6 - CLE - BOWERS or JORDAN: They don't have a surplus of great fits/talent anywhere along the front four, but I'd guess they'd go for edge-rushing talent here and and interior line help at #37.

They're most likely going to go Dareus as he's perfect to play the 3 for them. Too bad, too. There's enough upfield 34's out there that would have liked him. Brings the stock of Watt, Jordan, and Wilkerson up.

I'm hoping Dareus drops to about 10. And, we move up to get him. Washington needs extra picks if they go that route. No depth. And, if they want they can still get Locker at 17. I've been plugging Dareus into 6. If the qb's go early and someone is overwhelmed by Quinn's workouts. I'd give up 17 and 60 to get 10.

Carolina - N. Fairley
Denver - R. Quinn
Buffalo - C. Newton
Cincy - AJ Green
Ariz - Von Miller
Cleve - D. Bowers
SF - P. Peterson
Tennessee - B. Gabbert
Dallas - Amakamura, Jordan or Dareus
Wash to NE - M. Dareus

T. Warren - V. Wilfork - M. Dareus
R. Brace - K. Love - B. Deaderick
M. Wright - M. Pryor - G. Warren

Right. I'm hoping because they have to fill so many spots with the scheme change, they maybe trade back to get quantity over quality. Otherwise I hope they select a strictly 4-3 fit.

Careful what you wish for. They could trade with the Chargers who would then be way ahead of us to dip into the 3-4 DE pool and take one away from us. In any case, the Browns have a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and two 6ths. The Chargers have two 2nds and two 3rds as we have, in addition to their #18.

And the Texans @ #11...

Your absolutely right.

Hopefully this doesn't happen, unless the chargers want to get A.J green. I have heard they may look to replace V.Jax. But fundamentally we need as many impact 3-4 DE/OLB prospects on the board as possible as late as possible.
