Default A Board for 47 and 58 - Pick Two

I have posted a board for our pick 23 and 34 (see below for a repeat). We get to pick two from those 31 (top ten would be long gone). So a total of at least 7 will be still be there after 34; so we could do even better.

AFTER 34 ROUND TWO BOARD (Pick two from these 22; note that this assumes that the seven from the first list who drop are not of interest)

We seem to be well placed to get a safety and an offensive lineman. With half the board, two at these positions should close to the best value available when we pick at 47 and 58, or elsewhere after a trade.

OL Cadigan, Unger, Wood, Robinson, Luigs

WR Robiskie, Britt, White, Williams

TE Casey, Cook

DE/LB Kruger, Cody Brown, Sidbury

DT Brace

CB Moore, Smith

S Delmas, Moore, Vaughn, Chung, Johnson
The rush will be on for DE's and LB's. This an incredible Day One at these positions. Much depends on Belichick's draft board and how the draft runs, but having four picks between 20 and 50 will be sweet (I expext to move up from 58).
========================================
========================================
TEN OUT OF REACH PLAYERS
I expect the following players to be long gone.
QB Stafford, Sanchez
OT Smith, Monroe, Oher, Smith
LB Curry
DE Orapko
WR Crabtree
DT Raji
=================================
=================================
BOARD ONE FOR PICKS 16-34 (31 players) We get can two at 23 and 34.

HALF the board is composed of linebackers and defensive ends.
I'm sure that several of these are NOT on the patriots board. Also, I expect some players not on this board to be drafted before 34.

QB Freeman
OT Britton, Beatty, Meredith
OG Mack
WR Harvin, Maclin, Hicks, Heyward-Bey
DB Davis, Smith, Butler
RB Moreno, Wells, Brown
TE Pettigrew
DE Jackson, Hood, Gilbert, Johnson
DT Perry
OLB/DE Cushing, Ayers, Matthews, Barwin, Maybin, Brown, Sintim, English
ILB Maualuga, Laurinitis

CONCLUSION
Linebackers or defensive ends are likely to be the best value available (or close) when we draft at 23 and 34, although we might have to add a pick to move up for the player we want. Some of these players could be still left at 47, although I wouldn't expect it or count on it.

At least five will be left from the last board. To the degree there are more, that means that one of the below was picked earlier. Barring long reaches, the total would still be 29. For example, Perry and Mack could be first rounders.

OL Cadigan, Mack, Unger, Wood, Robinson, Luigs

WR Robiskie, Britt, White, Williams

TE Casey, Cook

DE/LB Kruger, Cody Brown, Sidbury

DT Perry, Brace

CB Moore, Smith

S Delmas, Moore, Vaughn, Chung, Johnson
It's a strange list, as Perry and Mack are likely high 1st/low 2nd values and many of the others listed are possible 3rd round values. But I'll play:

S - Delmas at 47
OL - Mack (can't believe he will list) or Wood (may not last, but more likely)

Wow, if this plays out as you expect, then I'd be damn pleased to get...

47 Will Moore (Delmas is 1st safety to go)
58 Unger (Mack's gone by then)

Giving us 4 studs... if we go Barwin / Gilbert early.

Safety and OL has to be my picks.. Some great value there.. Now is the question, which players do we pick..

For the sake of conversation I'll go

Chung - Constant starter in college who can play special teams right away

&

Unger - he is the most versatile OL at this point and it works for the pats

I would take these two also, Moore played allot in the box last year killing his INT's. Unger is a jackknife OL we could have compete as a replacement or fit in due to injury.

I did mention in the post that Mack and Perry could be first rounders. I have now added them to the first board.

I've added the first round board to original post in this thread for reference, and also below. Please note that seven of the first board will still be left after we draft at 34 and will thus carry over to the second board.

Ok I'll take English and Butler. Probably have to take Butler at #23 and hope English is still there at #34 if not then we can settle on Barwin.

I'll go conservative and take Wood at 47 and Vaughn at 58.

This is a board for use from 35 through 58. I would expect it to include a couple of possible third round values as well as a couple of first round values. However, I have edited Perry and Mack and put them in the first board. In the end, this doesn't matter since two others from the first board would be freed up and be available after 34.

So, you would jump at Mack. I'm not sure everyone here prefers Mack to the more flexible Wood and Unger.
