Default Sammie Lee Hill

On PFT today there's a bit about how his draft stock is rising. Supposedly we've had a meeting with him. Seems like a big guy, I could see us grabbing him with a 3rd round pick. Maybe even a late 2nd? Anyone have any thoughts on this guy?

I think 2nd round would be a big reach. I'd be happy to consider him in the 3rd, preferably with our #97 comp pick, if he lasts that long.

I think that both Hill and Chris Baker from Hampton are likely to go higher than they would otherwise because of all the teams changing to the 3-4 and the need for guys that could potentially play DT in that scheme. Both have terrific athleticism for their size, and could be good finds. Baker has obvious character issues. But there just aren't that many people with their kind of size, speed and athleticism.

Hill is a big boy-very raw. Takes alot of plays off. I don't think he will be drafted. I think he will be an undrafted free agent. He will get a camp shot-could make a practice squad. Not worth a round 3 pick.

Well that's no good. I mean *shudder* there is the off chance that Vince is going to want tons of money... We may need to have some stop-gap backup plans and I'm not sure I trust Mike Wright to carry that whole load by himself.
