With the upcoming draft in April not being one of the deepest classes in recent years. My theory is that Belichick will trade Matt Cassel for a 1st Round Pick in the 2010 draft.

Why?

So he can have a chance at landing Tim Tebow. With Tebow, who Belichick could groom to be Brady's eventual replacement. But, Tebow could also play at the same time as Brady, and even at time they could takeout Brady and install their own verison of the Wildcat. Adding Tebow with give the Patriots the verastiltiy that they cherish. Tebow is just the type of player that Belichick wants. Smart. Hard-working. Knowledgeable. Flexability.

I know they drafted Kevin O'Connell early last season, but Tebow has the potential to change how the game is played. And lets not forget the the Belichick/Meyer connection. Brady has another solid 5-6 years in him and adding a Tebow could help lenghten his career as well.

Just a thought.

Hmm...so you're thinking BB's primary target would a pick at some unknowable point from #1-32 in 2010 on the chance that would land him one specific player who doesn't fit the typical Pats' profile at a skill position where they already seem well stocked, in a year when they're scheduled to lose much of their offensive and defensive lines?

I have to say, I can't agree.

p.s. if you're enamored of the wildcat, O'Connell runs a 4.61 40 and led his college team in rushing.

Teabow is an H back at best, he has no speed, and limited intelligence (you know he is sporting a mullet and jean shorts as we speak). NO WAY he is taken in the first round of next year's draft (you have to remember that Matt Millen is no longer making any picks).

The Wildcat is retarded. It really is. And it hasn't worked well since the Miami game early in the season. I don't want any part of an offense that takes Brady off of the field.

I'm not saying that Tebow couldn't be an asset and switch things up, but not as the Pats' QB.

2. Considering Tebow was named an Academic All-American in 2007 and has a 3.70 GPA, I'm not sure where you get the bit about "limited intelligence".

3. Why is it that every college QB with mobility is suddenly unqualified to be an NFL QB? When did mobility become a bad thing?
