For the moment there are three Juniors who have "declared" if you count Myron Rolle who hasn't decided between the NFL and Oxford - for his sake I hope he takes the latter - mav and Ochmed are noting the pressure/chaos being created around the NFL's rookie cap plans. None of it is a 'done deal,' yet.

Even more of a benefit to franchise and trade Cassel

They are talking there could be over 100 underclassmen..

Actually, this year's senior class is excellent for LBers, good for OTs, has good depth at safety (more mid range talent). Its medicre to poor for QBs, WRs, and TEs.

I think TE is fairly strong with Pettigrew, Coffman, Pascoe and Davon Drew but we will never know until a few years down the road.

DJ Moore - CB - Vandy just interviewed on field after bowl game with BC.
Announced he's going pro. Have to think Andre Smith troubles at Bama lead
to him leaving too.

Smith is as good as gone. He's expected to be a top-5 pick...

Also, I'd have to think that Moore may be on the Pats radar at 24...

I don't believe that the Pats will take a CB that high. They may consider a safety but not a corner.

Finally Goodell is doing something right. Because of this move, we really have an opportunity to clean up on the defensive side of the ball in the draft this year.

agreed 100% .. I think BB is going to load up on S CB and LB in this draft and do it early.. w/ a pick coming for Cassell we have got a great chance a totally revamping our secondary and injecting more youth and speed into the LB' corps..

I would love 4 picks total in the first two rounds.. and then another 2 in the 3rd to make some moves to get the guys we want..

WHy would BB load up on CB? Safety and Linebacker I can understand. But he just draft 2 CBs last year and he drafted one the year before. And one the year before that. He may add ONE, but I'd look at him likely adding one via free agency more so than that draft.
