Patriots Reportedly Agree to Terms with TE Lee Smith

The Patriots got their first rookie under contract when Markell Carter under contract earlier this afternoon, and it appears they've also reached a deal with another one.

According to Aaron Wilson of, New England has agreed to terms with fifth-round TE Lee Smith, making him the second rookie to sign with the team.

Terms of the deal haven't been disclosed, but he's reportedly received a signing bonus of $171,480.

Fans will finally get a glimpse of these guys tomorrow when the team holds their first public practices at Gillette Stadium.
