What I really liked about that news conference was the way he stood up for the players. Telling the media that this is the best team in the postseason. I bet lots of free agents see that and think I want to play for someone like him.

Did he explain the discrepancy in the ball weight?

He said they ran simulations and studies that showed if a ball is inflated after it's treated (ie rubbed to get the tack right) that will cause it to be up above the equilibrium level approximately .5 PSI. So if they inflated it soon after rubbing, it would drop down .5 indoors right when given to refs. He said he doesn't know what refs did. He then said when the same ball was taken into the same conditions as the Colts game, it dropped another 1.5 PSI to 1 PSI. I lost what he said next but when taken indoors he said it should go back up to original pressure but that in the time they measured it (soon after indoors? 10 minutes? Halftime?) it only went up .5 to 1 PSI, not all the way to 1.5 higher, or the original.

The only part of the press conference that didn't need to be addressed it when he said the QBs could not feel a difference in 1 PSI but they could feel the difference in 2 PSI "most of the time." I thought that didn't need to be touched on.

iBB really is a stand up guy, he always takes the high road and doesn`t point fingers when he could absolutely easily do that.He says other teams videotaped too, but doesnt name names or point fingers. He accepts responsiity for what transpired as a result and moves on.

Bottom line, haters will always think what they WANT to think, and let them, it only makes it easier for us to identify who the REAL idiots are in a room.
