If they resign Vollmer, I can't see how OL would be their biggest priority in the draft next year. Just move Cannon to guard and move Connolly back to center.

Said my piece on this but this is an offensive league so I think we should stay strong there, paricularly as our offense is teetering on the brink a little. Welker, Edelman, Woodhead are all FA, Mankins and Vollmer are very injury prone and the other OL, whilst having done well are still a bit of a mishmash
BTW, don't know if you are aware, but Cooper has played OC in the past and I've also seen it suggested he has the skillset for OT. One other thing, it was in the commentary of a Pats game although I don't remember which one that the colour guy talked about the OL not giving ground in pass protect giving Brady the pocket to step up in to. Watch Cooper's film again - He never gives ground in pass protect. Thought it might help in his Patriots appeal at the time.
Again, I've never, ever had a problem with Jonathan Cooper being worth a 1st round pick for the Pats. Love him. I just want to go defense, and think the Pats can get quality OG talent much later in the draft. Maybe not Cooper-level, but Scar can do a lot with raw talent. Someone like Mark Jackson (Glenville) or Vinston Painter (West Virginia), for example.
I'd be thrilled to have a draft like Cooper in the 1st, Alec Ogletree in the 2nd and Tank Carradine in the 3rd. But I doubt those guys will fall that far (except perhaps Carradine because of injury).

Does anyone know how David Bass is looking at this point?

Cannon hasn't seen one snap at OG I believe. They clearly don't think he fits in at that position.

Ogletree is interesting, I wonder how much our defense would improve if we had a LB that could cover, many of those easy passes over the middle would go away for opposing offenses. I've heard that he'll go rather early.

BTW, Kyle Long is up to #74 on NFL Draft Scout's most recent rankings.
That happened a week ago. I still don' think it will happen.

Just don't think he's a BB type, either character wise or scheme fit.
I think he fits the scheme, but you might be right about the character. It's hard to tell, especially now.

That's how I feel too. I like Carson York. He's a perfect fit.

How would anyone know that? He plays for Southern Nowhereville State.

Yeah, I don't know how anyone can keep saying that. It isn't going to happen.

That's going to depend on how teams view him. He struggles to get off blocks and doesn't have outstanding instincts so 4-3 teams probably won't have him as a MLB. I can see 3-4 teams with a thumper in place liking him for ILB, but his logical position is WLB and they don't normally go in the first.
But. His speed is electrifying, he's 6'3" and he has really long arms to go with a really good leap. He chases down plays from all over the place and can sit in that intermediate level and almost take it away in the passing game with his range.
He was my favourite player to watch last year after Mark Barron and whilst I don't think he's been quite as good this year, he's still right up their as one of my favourite players.

Mackenzie will know
