Default Alabama NT Jesse Williams

Missing practice due to concussion? Very serious issue here.

If this becomes a recurring issue, it is something worth noting as draft time approaches.

I'd take a serious look at him come draft time.

Wilfork is getting up there in age and Ron Brace has done nothing to make me think he should still occupy a spot on the roster.

He's been my top "realistic" draft prospect - along with Dion Jordan and more recently Tank Carradine - for months. He's rawer than Star Lotulelei and Johnathan Hankins but just as athletic and stronger than either. He can play 3-4 NT, 4-3 DT, 3-4 DE and probably 4-3 LDE in the Red Bryant mold. He won't rush the passer, but he'll do everything else, he has experience in Nick Saban's system, and he should get better. His lack of finish, concussion history, and the depth at DT will hopefully keep him within range.

As passrushing DT i think you should look toward Sharrif Floyd as some of us already are, guestion is him vs the run.

Right now i think Sharrif Floyd is the DT i want most, specially if he can add 15-20 lbs more. Without a doubt more versatile then the others. Floyd is one of the most athletic defensive tackles to come out this draft, and most explosive.
As sayed, only question is the running game... But i'm thinking, him on "kyle love" spot with Vince ( NT ) next to him to take double teams, bet that would make holes and Floyd do have the penetration to make plays. Biggest problem ( if you can say that, is lack of DE's on Gators team, so he's used there now, but he should be inside ofcause ) so we can't see him as a run stopper, but at the same time that could keep hes draft spot down. He's young, Big Vince can take a year or 2 more, Floyd can use the time to grain bulk - Afterall worst case is a 3 down DT, since hes great at rushing the QB, BUT then we still missing a NT thing.

Floyd could be used as LDE on rushing downs (Floyd-Wilfork-Love-Jones) and then shift inside on passing downs (Ninkovich-Wilfork-Floyd-Jones). This of course assumes we don't pick up someone like Carradine for the LDE spot.

Wasn't thinking about haveing him out there all the time, he can do it yes, but was thinking him in the middle instead of love. Then Love could take some of the play time from Vince aswell - Still want a LDE.. Could be Ziggy

I think Love's too good to take off the field too much. As for Ziggy, I actually see him getting good reps on the inside - he plays NT at times for BYU

I know Ziggy is doing that aswell - Plan was ending up with a new front in 2 years. Jones - Ziggy - Floyd and the bomb Jadeveon Clowney as RDE...

Might be a dream and not posibel - atleast not like this, do think getting Clowney is, if BB really want.

Floyd and Ziggy i think we could get for 2 and 3 pick this year.. Can trade 1 if we want or use it on a OL or mayby a safety ? Depend on the board.. 4 Could be a OT Swing thing, since i'm thinking BB resign with Volmer regardless on health issue, he's to good to not resign.
