Default Anyone besides me worry about Mayo being made of glass?

I know he has not even played a down in training camp yet but you can't ignore the fact that in every year of his Collegiate Career he has had problems with lower leg injuries and from what I have read, has been out at least a few games and now he has to perform with even more intensity with the clashing against the big boys.

I think he can be a very good player and fit well in the middle of this defense but hope this guy is not made of glass as his annual injury history is a concern - Anyone worried about this at this time?

Just the news I wanted to hear. With that said, he will somehow come to camp injured and it will take forever for him to get on the field. And I'm also glad the Pats drafted another short cornerback.

Every NFL LB gets banged up. However, one of the consistent reports on this guy is that he plays with injuries that would sideline others. That's the key - look at Zach Thomas - always hurt but always playing at a high level.

On Reiss' Blog a reporter asked BB this question pretty much exactly (asked him about Mayo's knees.) BB said the team doctor's weren't worried about them, and even said that he wished his (BB's) good knees were in as good shape as Mayo's supposed bad ones - if the team isn't concerned, I don't think theres much need to worry.

I am not intentionally being negative about the guy but I am concerned about his physical endurance in the big leagues.

I hope the concern is not to come true like when everyone was worried about why the Pats drafted a player who was consistenly injured and had an leg injury as a senior that made it a possible liability in the pros and he was passed on by several teams except New England .....
His name was Curtis Martin RB Pittsburgh Panthers - This guy seemed to have a 'decent' career in the pros
