Re: Trading Down - The Top 16
How far are you talking about trading down? If you are talking about 9 or 10 to Cincy or New Orleans, I think you could probably land either Clady(who you have in your top 8) or Albert depending on which one is taken by KC.
If you are talking about going lower in to the mid teens it gets tricky. I am starting to feel like the run on CB's might start a little later than initially projected, so if the Pats pick, say 14-15, they still may have the opportunity to take the first or second CB off the board.
The real wild cards are Oakland and KC early and then Buffalo at no.11. If Sedrick Ellis doesn't go to Oakland or KC, then he probably falls to no.7 for either the Pats to take themselves or for the Pats to trade with either Cincy or New Orleans. Many on the board are also suggesting a small trade with Baltimore to no.8 and then starting the Ellis sweepstakes.
NEXT EIGHT
OG Albert- Could go 5 to KC at the earliest, 14 to Chicago at the latest
OT Otah- Could go 5 to KC at the earliest, 19 to Philly at the latest
OT Williams- Could go to Denver at 12 at the earliest, not sure of the latest
DB McKelvin- Could go to Baltimore at 8, Arizona at 16 seems to be the floor
DB Cromartie- Could go to Buffalo at 11, maybe fall as far as Dallas at 22
DB Jenkins- Similar to Cromartie
LB Rivers- whoever loses out on Ellis between Cincy and New Orleans probably takes him, not sure who would take him if both pass
LB Harvey - I could see him going to Carolina at 13, probably doesn't get past Detroit at 15
