I think he's more like Ty Warren than Seymour, but that's far from a bad thing. Aldon Smith at 17, Wilkerson at 28 would make me uber happy.
Add Ben Ijalana at #33 and I'd be one happy Pats fan...

That guy has been getting a lot of run lately as well. I was hoping he would last until 60 but it is starting to look like he is no longer going to be a secret to other teams either.
Oh well, I'm sure there will be a few other that break through at the combine.

I am not as high on Ijalana because of the lack of competition he faced. Does everyone remember Vladimir Ducasse last year? Hes already a bust. This guys is extremly raw as well and needs to refine his handwork, technique, foot speed, knee bend, leverage, and pad level. Ijalana also struggles hitting moving targets and he doesnt have a killer instinct. He seems like a huge project which I don't like picking at 33. I would much rather grab Boling or Watkins at 60 who are both better prospects IMO.

I'm so up in the air on where this guy should be drafted. 1st? 2nd? 3rd? He has got a lot of hype as of late. Watched some of the few highlights that are available on him and he seems to play to the speed and power they are boasting. Just brutal power is displayed in some of his reels.
Questions regarding the low end competition he played while at Temple? He physically dominates his weak conference. Can he do it against the best?
I'm sure he will be even more inflated with a good combine which I suspect he will have. He is a gamble imo. I leave the call up to Belichick. If he drafts him than that tells me he see's something special he can work with. If not, he either wasn't scouted thoroughly or he was and they didn't value him as much as his highlights.
I'm more excited about Wilkerson than I was about Jared Odrick last year.... and like Odrick, I have a feeling that the hype will catch up with him and make him a first round pick.

I think Wilkerson is by far the best fit for the Pats system, and he will definitely be a 1st round pick. Where in the first round depends on how he tests out at the combine and interviews, but I dont see him falling past GB at 32. I wouldn't be suprised to see him go as high as 18 to SD if he tests out well. I would definitely consider him at 28, but if his stock does rise too high I don't think I would take him at 17, because while he will be a very solid player, I think his upside is limited. And like Sciz said he is more Warren than Seymore,so I think he can be a very good but not great player.
If we cant get Wilkerson at 28, looking at next years draft, the guy I'm really excited about is Kheeston Randall from Texas. He's 6'5 295 and looks like the prototype two-gap DE for the Pats. He's great against the run and is solid rushing the passer. If we could pair Wilkerson with Randall, they could be the next Warren and Seymour for the next decade.

Something tells me this guys is someone very much on Pats radar. Fits our scheme defensively, kind of reminds you of a younger Ty Warren. BB also falls in love with players from certain college programs. Fresno State (Mankins, Sanders) Florida (Spikes and Cunningham) Temple(McCourty)

If he has a good combine, we may need to take him at #17 because he won't last until #28.
If he fails to excel at the combine, we would have a good shot at him at #33.
I think BB trades out of #17 and takes Wilkerson somewhere in the 20's and we pick up an extra pick to boot.
