Jacob Hester - not sure where the kid stacks up on the draft lists, but I can guarantee the Pats brass is eye balling this kid. Tough as nails, smart, quick. He might not appear to be the most physically talented guy in the world ala Mr. McFadden, but he has that X factor and he's gutsy. LSU running backs(Hester with the biggest load) hadn't fumbled the ball in some ungodly number, 630 plus carries - that is a Belichek stat. Reminds me a lot of Welker - b@lls out every time. So if we're in play for McFadden and skip on his @ss, I wouldn't be surprised if you see the Pats try and scoop this kid up late - he has Patriots written all over him.

That's what I said. He's quick, pretty fast and runs very low. He runs into the LOS and doesn't dance behind it waiting for a hole to open up.

You can count on him to get at least 3 yards on a carry...which doesn't sound impressive, but when it's 3rd and 2....who would you rather give it to? Maroney 50% chance of 6 yards, 50% chance of -1...or this guy 50% chance of 3 yards or 50% chance ot 5.

He's thought to be a 4th or 5th rounder.

More proof that you don't need to draft at the top of round 1 to get a 'stud RB'.

There's a dozen guys like him in the NCAAs but you just keyed in on this guy because.......he's on national every weekend so you know him and the Patriots have more white players than anyone else? BTW, all those LSU guys BB have drafted over the last 5 years are all going to be coming from 'Bama for the next 5 years.

How can you say he's a stud when he hasn't even played in the NFL yet?

Unless you meant stud in College football which I think you did, then my bad lol.

Everyone was on Maroney's back for not scoring a TD until late in a season. That's fair - that's questionable production at best.

So now in the last to games straight, near the goaline, he avoids dancing and gashes the defense for a touchdown. And people are still saying he sucks.

I mean, you can't rush for 100 yards a game if you have an o-coordinator who only gives his main back the ball 6 times a game, right?

Name a dozen guys in the NCAA who are 230+ pounds and as quick and run as hard as this guy who are thought to be 4th or 5th round picks.

Yes, BB will restrict himself to only getting guys from Alabama now. How stupid is that? WHy limit yourself? Why would he do that? I like how you say it with certainty too, like you know what you're talking about.

Anyone think that LSU QB(forgot his name already) has that slow windup like Rohan Davey?

Maybe they were expecting a pass and there was actually a hole there.

If there's a hole, I'm sure Maroney is fine. Most of the time there isn't though and he just kind of stutter steps back there and gets hit behind the LOS.

Do you realize how stupid you sound? "Yeah, if there's no hole he gets hit for loss. If there is a hole he's fine." What are you looking for? Barry Sanders? Most running backs can't do anything when they're linemen allow a defender in the backfield.
