Default College Football upset of the Century: Arkansas 50-LSU 48

This game was amazing. Great play from both teams all the way down to the stretch. There was one player that really stuck out for Arkansas and that was Darren McFadden. He gets the game MVP. Flynn also stuck out to me as a great performer for LSU, it's too bad his national championship hopes ended with an interception. But there has to be one winner, and that is Arkansas.

What makes Mcfadden the MVP of this game?
Oh maybe its the 32 carries for 205 yards and 3 TDs, or maybe it was that clutch pass for a TD to put Arkansas ahead 28-21 at that time. How can anyone knock this kid now after witnessing this historic game??

Really- the #1 team wasn't even undefeated. Each week #1 or #2 goes down - there are NO dominant teams in college football this year. Freakin' Kansas could be #1 if they win tomorrow.

Agh, Stop with the damn McFadden threads. There is a reason they keep getting moved to the draft forum. Means STOP posting them here.

The only clips I have seen of Mc Fadden look impressive until I notice that I don't see him breaking tackles. Evading people at college level is all well and good but unless he can beat at least the DBs for strength, he could have problems in the NFL. I admit fully that I am going off limited evidence, though.

Arkansas Backfield:
McFadden avereged 6.4 ypc 205 rushing yards 3 TD's and one fumble
Felix Jones averaged 9.6 ypc for a total of 86 yards.
P. Hillis averaged 8.0 ypc for 88 yards and 2 TD's

I watched the game, and there was a number of runs where McFadden looked average, but he was able to bust that really long one, and he had a few other nice runs.

If Anything you should have came away from that game inpressed with Arkansas O-line. They also could have used Felix Jones more.

LSU's Hester also seemed like a pretty tough runner, who was able to break a number of tackles throughout the game.

This isn't even close to the biggest upset of the year. Appalachia St. beating Michigan was certainly a bigger upset.

I watched the game and have no interest in McFadden. Hester will be a much better value pick.

Upset of the century??? Upset of the week, maybe.

My opinion on McFadden (they're like a-holes on this board):

He will NOT be a great NFL back b/c of his spindly legs. I'd much rather have a Travis Henry type (w/o the illigetimate kids and drug use), i.e., low center of gravity, powerful legs, than a tall speedster that won't be able to get YAC in the NFL.

Yeah, those young taller backs (A Peterson, M Lynch) arent doing much this year.
