If I calculating this right, as of now the Patriots should have 8 picks in the 2011 draft
Round #1 Oakland's pick-Seymour trade
Round #1 NE's pick
Round #2 Carolina's pick draft day trade
Round #2 NE's pick
Round #3 NE's pick
Round #4 Denver's pick -Maroney trade
Round #4 NE's pick
Round #5 NE's Pick
Round #6 N.O.'s pick -David Thomas trade
Round #6----> traded to Denver for Maroney
Round #7 NE's pick
Compensatory pick- one likely for losing Watson/Jarvis Green offset by signing Crumpler
-------------------
Undisclosed/Conditional pick to Atlanta in Ojinnaka trade,
Conditional to Philly for Tracy White
Undisclosed pick to KC for Jarrad Page trade
That's a total of 12 picks with three of them going to Den, Philly,KC and Atlanta for a net of 8 picks, without even considering a possible trade of Mankins.
As for the compensatory, I'm guessing it will be a 5th. Green signed a 4yr $20 million contract which would have been a 5th this year. Watson's 3yr $12 million contract was worth a 6th this year but it will be offset by Crumpler's 2 yr $4.8 million as per adamjt13's blog.

i never got that offset pick thiing. Watsons contract is clearly larger than crumpler's yet they offset each other?
Geez hope we get that 5th for green. Specially because he got cut so we are basically getting a pick for free.
A player who's cut in the preseason by the new team he signs with doesn't count as a quality free agent lost.
On the flip side, the pick for Tracy White is a conditional pick in 2012, not 2011.

lots of early picks. the team is looking so good, and so young, after the Bengles game, it's hard to imagine them getting any younger. But RB is a need for youth. DL, OLB, OG could use help... and if Light leaves in free agency, OT too. Plus a deep threat to replace Moss at WR.
To think we got Hernandez in the 4th, Spikes in the 2nd, Tate in the 3rd. Give BB seven more young players of that caliber?!? Incredible.
Only problem will come in 4 and 5 years, when all these guys hit their free agency, and we'll be able to keep... like... three of them, and watch the rest sign deals with Denver and Cleveland.

Edit
Conditional to Philly for Tracy White in 2012... Thanks CtPatsfan (edit correction)

What happens with Mankins (and how Connolly goes all year) may influence what we do but I would guess we need a RG and RT to replace Neal and Light and would see 2 of those top 6 picks there.
The other real need is OLB and be interesting to see people's projections and fits as we head into next year
Moss too will be interesting as we could target Green or Jones depending on that Raiders pick

Hah!! Yes, it IS a concern...
However, if we're able to run 3, 4, or 5 consecutive Super Bowl Victories back to back to back to back to back...I reckon we'll overcome our sense of loss!!
