Default What will Tony Romo cost us?

As I recall Tonly Romo's fumble of a chip shot FG attempt snap, gave Seattle the game.

If he hadn't fumbled that snap would we be at 21 or 18? I think it would have had us at 21 instead of 24. So which player could we have had at 21 that we won't get at 24? Will we have to trade up to 21 to get a player and what will that cost us.

This could be known as the Tony Romo draft for us.

I don't like this game. It's too painful.

Just be thankful that the Seahawks didn't win two more. They weren't that good but the whole NFC basically blew . . . it's not unreasonable that the pick could be 31.

they had a lot of close/fluke type wins, as well. I think if they had lost just one more regular season game NE's pick would have been in the teens (I think), but there's no sense thinking about that now. Really, getting 24th overall is better than I originally thought NE would get.

My opinion as well. If anyone told you at the beginning of the season that Seattle would draft at #24 - you would be thrilled (for the Pats to have that pick).

I have also thought about the botched snap, but don't forget that there was about a minute left on the clock so there was a very real possibility that Hasselback could have drove them to within field goal range as well. And Seattles kicker (Josh Brown) had won a few games last year for them in the closing seconds on long kicks.

Could have, should have, would have....

The Seahawks stunk this year but they were still able to do reasonably well because of their kicker and their division and conference absolutely stunk. That's what makes it frustrating, but I will never complain about having an additional first round pick.

True, that division is pretty weak although it seems that Arizona and San Fran are on the up and up this year. But I think the biggest reason Seattle had a poor showing (record) was the injuries to Hasselback and Shaun Alexander who both missed significant time.

If Seattle had lost 2 games out of these 4: @ DET (9-6), @ STL (30-28), vs. STL (24-22), vs. GB (34-24), then they would have finished 7-9, and we would be picking 11th. Proof, once again, that there is no god.
