OR-Matt Cassell-under contract,experienced QB in the Patriots,complex offense.
Is Brady Quinn that much better?I don't think so.
Would BB/SP do this......probably not,however,if
you're talking trade possibilities(GB?),I just believe
Matt Cassell will enter the picture come draft time.
Would it be a risk for the Pats?,sure it would.
However,I see a big reward,if your targeting Patrick Willis,Landry,etc.
Some teams are desperate for a Brady-like QB,there
might be one right under their noses,IMHO.

Next year. Hopefully then they will get some value for Cassell. It would be a coup to get a first day pick for him. If the Patriots like a QB in rounds 4+, I wouldn't be surprised if they took him to be next year's #2.

Ok,you win......your logic is impeccable.
Oakland would never draft Calvin Johnson and trade for Cassell.......nor Green Bay,with Aaron Rodgers as their QB of the future.
Matt Cassell will never come under discussion by any team in the 2007 Draft......I've got it,now

There's a small chance that the Raiders may have some interest in Cassel as he was at USC with Lane Kiffin. Unfortunately, or fortunately as the case may be, Cassel has had too limited an amount of playing time in the NFL. Basically the one game at the end of 2005. Schaub has limited time but still quite a bit more.
