I'm SO HAPPY someone ASKED this question. I've been to the Draft Party twice in the last 3 years and its NOT WORTH IT. You would think it would be an unbelieveable time. It sucks. The food is AWFUL. They have the catered cold chicken(both years i was there, the food was the same), cold potatoes, generic desserts etc. They would be SO MUCH better off just offering FOOTBALL FOOD! How about some BRATS or Hot Dogs Or Cheeseburgers etc? It seems like such an EASY FIX but they wont do it. Also, IMMEDIATELY after the last pick of the first Round, they're literally USHERING you out the door. I wasn't there last year, and unless i hear or read somewhere that they've changed i'll never go again, so i'm not sure how it was draft day '06. As for me, its a much better VALUE to stay home and either cook or buy the food i want, use my own bathroom and have my friends party here rather than Pay $65 for bad food, service etc.

My advice, Don't GO!

Big Vince is having a draft party. I don't know how it will be or if other players wil attend. It looks like it's just for the first round.

It's a benefit for the diabetes foundation, so even if it doesn't meet expectations, your money will go for a good cause.

Here's a link to his site:

I won't be going because of the distance and draft weekend is a work session for me.

If you have kids, it might be worth it just to have them meet the big fella.

I went years ago when the Pats drafted Tebuckey Jones and Robert Edwards.. And I have to agree with ONEg8om, it sucked big time. We paid like 50 bucks and received cold food and flat drinks.. Worse part, they adverstised saying players will be around to sign autographs.. We'll let me tell you, the only player I can recall that was a "possible" starter was Chris Canty..

Funny and true story, my brother has a football with autographs from Bledsoe, Mulloy, Law and others.. We walked in this line and he kept that ball secure.. Then at the end Chris Canty was like, "hey I will sign that".. My brother and I laughed and walked away.. I'm 5"8 and was looking down on him.. Knew right then and there he would be gone soon.. To small and fragile..

I Know SeanBru, and what bothers me the most is it seems like such an easy fix. Instead of the lame(and cold) food which is probably expensive anyway, they could easily have hot dogs, burgers, fries, ribs etc. FOOTBALL FOOD!

After each party i went to they were rushing everyone immediately after the final pick of the first round. They were taking chairs when people got up for a second and folding them to put away.

I remember getting autographs from some cheerleaders and Steve Nelson, but other than that, no one current.

I'm hoping they can eventually get it right, but until then i'll never go again and i wouldn't recommend anyone else does either.

Just being honest!

I appreciate your honesty and your time to answer my questions. Same to you mcsully!!!

Because i was bought a pair of tickets for my birthday to go and it seemed like a great idea.
As of right now it says they have Ty Warren, Rosevelt Colvin, John Hannah Grogan? and i believe Tippett attending.
They let you walk the field and take a mini tour of the stadium.
Hopefully the food is not that bad. But it probably will be.

It just seems like a kinda cool event. I figured it was first round only most of these events are and i had a chance to meet a few players.

Thank You very much for your personal experiences i will be sure to cpmplain there if something doesnt seem right.

That all sounds great and well worth the money. Screw the food, you can eat when you get home.
