Yeah I like Landry and Nelson better because they are faster with more upside. But Griffin has good all around skills. Add his solid tackling ability to his excellent ST play and you have what looks to be a Patriots type player. He has lower upside than the other two safeties but it might be worth reaching for him at 28 because he would go early in the 2nd and Safety is an area of need for the Pats.

LOL, adding Polamalu to this team would be ridiculously good. I don't think the Steelers are dumb enough to let him go though. He will be tagged and extended.

I agree with most of this. Except for the fact that Griffin has lower upside than Nelson (in the Pats system). Nelson may have the better natural physical ability, but in the right situation, Griffin's upside could be just as high as Nelson's.

The problem with taking Griffin @ 1.28, is the risk of losing him to Philly; who I am fairly certain will take him if we leave him on the board.

My thinking is...if we dont take a S @ 1.24, we probably will not take one in the first round. I just dont see them taking Merri-Thug.
