Default Defensive line - does this change too?

Just like LB, if the Patriots plan to use a 4-3 more this could impact the type of player they draft for the defensive line. Maybe they don't focus on players who can play a 2 gap style and start to bring in some players with an ability to penetrate.

I remain absolutely convinced that the first and most important aspect BB wants in a front 7 defender is the ability to stop the run. Pass rushing is not a primary concern for the man.

And his drafting track record bears this out.

But I do think BB is looking for players to draft that can play the 4-3 and the 3-4. I think they are very hard to find, but they are out there.

Right now I would just be happy if we had a playmaker or two on defense.

Adrian Clayborn (DE, Iowa) -- I'm calling my binkie right now. Ability in the 3-4 and 4-3, plays well against the run, but can penetrate and disrupt the passer as well.
