And Eric Wood may possibly start for Buffalo, and Louis Delmas may possibly start for Detroit, and Michael Oher may possibly start for Baltimore.....

I guess I don't get it.

He's dead to me until we pick him up as a FA.

I hear Minnesota has already called dibs on him.

I've said it several times during draft week, Matthews might turn out to be the best of the USC linebackers. I'm not sure with his size/build that he was the best fit for the Pats but it looks like he gained 10 lbs pretty easily while maintaining his explosiveness. I wish him the best in Green Bay.

So if he fails a roid test somewhere down the line, does he still have a chance to be the best of the USC LBers?

Sorry, I thought you were talking about Cushing for a minute. The rumor of the failed drug test was disproved for both USC players. So as far as I know, Matthews hasn't failed a drug test and Maualuga ain't getting any less dumb. He'll fit right in with the Bengals. Odds on how soon he'll run into trouble with the popo?

Why Maualuga fell to round 2:

The problem with Maulauga is that as much of a wrecking ball as he is on the field, he's a bit of a space cadet. I'm not just talking off the field, where he reportedly scored a 15 on the Wonderlic and didn't know who Vice President Joe Biden was, but on it as well. No one frustrated USC coaches more than Maualuga. He looked like he was running around with his head cut off and looking to hit anything that moved. The more tape pro coaches watched on Maualuga, the more times they probably saw him being saved by his teammates on missed assignments.

Aren't you mixing up Cushing and Matthews?

Are you suggesting that a 200 lb college junior who sat next to the waterboy for three years, with high expectations coming from an NFL family, who all the sudden gained 40 lbs of muscle and became an All-American, are you suggesting that such a player may have used performance enhancers???
