According to some of the folks who cover Bearcat football, Barwin would even talk to mav if he had a pen and pad. He's just a nice guy who takes pity on emotionally scarred people like news reporters and such.

We did lose Vrabel as the #4 TE so we need a big TE that can block and catch. It's probably legit.

I wonder how the board would react if we drafted Barwin for the sole purposes of making him a TE.

Cool by me, but I know a few who would have kittens and then strangle them.

Here's a nice interview of Barwin via internet radio. It's nice to hear him answering the questions.

I sure hope the Pat's don't spend a round one pick on a special teams tackler. Gary Guyton is a good special teams player. Undrafted. Guyton is probably as good a natural athlete as Barwin. Yes-Guyton should have been drafted-but probably round 5-7. I would sure hate to get a back-up TE/backup LB, special teamer in round one. I see comparisons to Watson. Watson was a mistake in round one. I would not draw comparisons to Watson to make a point to draft Barwin. Watson has never performed at a level that a first rounder should play at. Buyer beware in round one. If Watson were a round 4 pick -it would make more sense.

Barwin ran a 4.47 40. I don't know what Guyton ran but i dont think its near that.

Seems like a solid 3rd round guy.

Guyton ran a 4.47/4.45 depending on who you talk to. The fastest among all linebackers last year.

I seem to remember him being that fastest LB at the combine but I would have to check that out. When they got him after the draft I though he might get reps on special with that good speed. Little did I know then how much I would be watching him, or Hochstien in the backfield but I did enjoy both
