The Barwin thread received 100+ posts, so let's get some input on this legitimate Pats prospect. NE has worked out Barwin, Everette Brown, and now Cody for the same position. All three are ranked differently, and give Belichick options of filling the position should he miss out on his #1 choice.
I like him a lot, as I have him ranked 3rd on my DE/OLB list.

Looks like a pretty good prospect as an edge rusher. I'm not sure about his all around game, but that could be said of any of the OLB prospects. He looks like someone with less bust potential than a Barwin, Johnson or Matthews.
I grade him as an upper 3rd round player with potential to move up into the mid 2nd if there's a run on pass rushers. I think he becomes a very possible Pats target if they decide to address the lines early.
Prior to my workout I met with Patriots coach Bill Belichick. He was very complimentary about my skills, which was great to hear.
Four teams — the Browns, Panthers, 49ers and Patriots — sent their linebacker coaches, which was also pretty cool.
The teams that run a 3-4 told me that after they saw me do position drills and play in space, they are excited about my ability to play standing up on the outside.

Just a friendly reminder to keep him on the list of considerations. We don't know how the draft is going to unfold, and if NE doesn't address DE/OLB in round one, later options are necessary.

Good, the more the merrier. I keep wondering if some of the DE/OLB guys could become and ILB a la T Bru???

We just have to try to evaluate them the best we can."
I really like Cody Brown. I was hoping BB was @ Uconn to take a look at him. A little undersized, but the kid is a hard worker and knows how to get into the backfield.
He would be a SOLID pick up if NE decided to go OL, S, with the first two picks.

6'2" 245# seems like he needs a bit more sand in his pants (thanks, Box) to be a good OLB, but who knows?
That said, as someone noted on the UConn pro day thread, apparently BB saw something that really intrigued him about the DBs.
[And, FWIW, I think the Huskies' sophomore LB, Scott Lutrus, might look good in a Pats uniform in a couple of years.]
