Default Patriots Daily Q&A With Penn State LT Gerald Cadogan

Gerald Cadogan Q&A with PD

At 6-foot-5, 305 pounds, you have the size of a prototypical Patriots lineman. Any contact from NFL teams?

Between the Texas vs. Nation game and the Combine I have talked to just about every NFL team and have received good feedback.

While he hasn't reached binkie status, I'm targeting him for the Pats in the 3rd round and hopefully taking Kaczur's spot before too long.

One of my favorites a potential starter at guard or tackle. Consider him at pick 57 or 88.

He sounds like a nice kid, Patriots type player.

Now here is a good value type player. Round 4-5. Upside to grow into RT spot. Cadogan is a smart-physical ot who has not come close to maxing out. Had to block Maybin in practice. A future player along the front.

This is a helluva kid too. Solid family. Graduated from school. He ran track in hs
intermediate hurdles. I think he's got room to grow. I think that if Scarnecchia and Wojcik get their hands on this kid. We will have something here. His brother coming to PSU this fall. So, keep an eye out for him in 4-5 years too.

I'll second that. Cadogan is a great player but is an even better person....

I'm a PSU season ticket holder and we sit a couple rows behind the PSU sideline. At least four or five times that I've seen in the past couple years he has come over to talk to a young girl with special needs that sits in our section. He will ask her if she enjoyed the game and always gives her a wrist band or some type of memorobilia from the game. After his senoir day game he came over to talk to the young girl and she and her family gave him a football that the girl wrote his number and position on. It was a very moving moment.

So I'm all for getting Cadogan with our pick in the 3rd or our last in the 2nd if we have to.
