Re: More declare:
01/08/09 - Wisconsin running back P.J. Hill announced on Thursday that he will forego his senior season and enter the NFL draft. The 5-11, 236-pounder ran for 1,161 yards and 13 touchdowns, while earning Big Ten honorable mention honors last season. Hill ran for 140 yards on 15 carries in a 42-13 loss to Florida State in the Champs Sports Bowl on December 27. “I just feel the time is right for me to take the next step in my career,” Hill said. “I would like to thank my teammates, coaches and the Badger fans for the great experience I had during my time at UW.” Hill ends his career in third place on Wisconsin’s all-time rushing list with 3,996 yards. He also tied for second on school’s all-time touchdowns list with 44, and ranks third in school history with 20 career 100-yard performances. “I wish P.J. the best in the future and want to thank him for all his hard work during his time as a Badger,” Wisconsin head coach Bret Bielema said. “He’s a great running back and I think his numbers speak for themselves.” - PA SportsTicker
