Just about Cason - a couple of Chargers fans I know reckon he's shown a lot of promise this year, they've been impressed by him.

My two favourites were Mayo and Mendenhall. Hit and miss.

Ok, I think this thread was actually about the upcoming draft, no? Sadly, being a Canadian seriously limits my knowledge/interest in College Football, but Nmamdi will come to NE out of the draft...

Two things:

(1) PFW is not exactly noted for its sterling accuracy.

(2) Jokeland may well slap the exclusive franchise tag on Asomugha again.

OK, future prospects. Well, there's Clint Sintim, who plays as a 3-4 OLB already, had 11 sacks, 13 tackles for loss, good size and speed and intensity.

are there any restrictions/rules to how many times you can keep franchise tagging a player, or how it affects the contract? Or can Oakland, so long as they are ok with paying the salary, keep tagging Asomugha and he is stuck even if he wants to go elsewhere?

1st round is too high for a running back in general. Look at the best RB in this year's draft, Matt Forte. He was, what, a 3rd rounder?

Well, I was pretty high on Flacco and that's turned out well. But my favorite draft prospect, Brennan, hasn't gotten any PT... but did look damn good in the preseason. I, like the poster on one of the previous pages, didn't like McFadden just going down on contact –*but it's really too early to tell anything on him. 2 guys I appear to be right on as well: Kelly and Manningham. Guy I was wrong on: Slaton ... although he went to the perfect system.

I'd say Johnson has been the best RB, and he was a first rounder.

1) Very true. The link isn't from PFW, but it is speculation. The league will co-operate to help Davis' heart give out sooner.

2) Maybe, but if they do, they lose some other guys they'd rather keep.

Agreed. Forte has been stellar but Chris Johnson is a freak.
