A quiet Sunday thanks to the bye week, but here are this morning's links:

BOSTON HERALD:

Shula Relates to Brady-Belichick bond - Karen Guregian
Gurgegian has a good article this morning on former Dolphins coach Don Shula, who compared Bill Belichick's relationship with Tom Brady to the same one he shared with former NFL legend Dan Marino

“It’s great to have that confidence in your quarterback,” Shula told the Herald in a phone conversation last week. “I know I always felt no matter what the score was with Marino, we were always in the game. He made it exciting. You never felt like you were out of it. I’m sure Belichick feels the same way about Brady, and with good reason.”

D(efense) hasn't stood for detrimental for Patriots lately - Glen Farley
Farley has a good article this morning on the progress of the Patriots defense, although Kyle Arrington points out that the goal isn't to be playing their best football in October.

"I wouldn’t say we’ve come a long way or anything, but we’ve gotten better in the recent weeks and the main goal is just to stay consistent with it," cornerback Kyle Arrington said. "We set the bar OK for ourselves.

"You don’t want to be playing your best ball in October. We have a ways to go. We just (have to) come back ready to work harder."
