Patriots WR Price Misses Practice Saturday
Patriots wide receiver Taylor Price took a vicious head-to-head shot late in the game during Thursday night during New England's 47-12 win, and it looks like he may be suffering some ill-effects from it.
Though there haven't been any official reports, Paul Perillo of Patriots Football Weekly said during an interview with 98.5 The Sports Hub Saturday that the 2nd-year receiver wasn't out on the practice field. That's somewhat concerning, especially when you go back and view the hit over again.
Following the play, Price did stay in the game. However fans may remember Wes Welker taking a similar shot against the Jets in New York, only to have the effects linger a bit after that loss last season at the Meadowlands.
Either way, hopefully whatever the issue, he'll end up being O.K. and fans will get another look at him before the preseason is over.
UPDATE 4:26pm: Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald reports that Price "tweaked an ankle" in the game, and that's the reason for his injury.
