Good news for fans of offensive lineman Marcus Cannon. He hinted that he's getting to work this morning on Twitter, which could hopefully mean he'll be on the practice field soon.
Cannon Tweeted earlier this morning, "Time to get in this playbook".
The rookie offensive lineman has been battling non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and had been undergoing treatment earlier this summer, but it appears that he's doing well enough to potentially start working with his new teammates.
The former 5th round pick had been listed as a potential steal for the Patriots, and had some good accolades in his draft bio from CBSSports.com.
"Difficult for college strong-side ends to get around, especially when technique-sound. Takes short steps off the line, can backpedal when necessary to cut off blitzing linebackers. Enough lateral movement to jar the defensive end with one hand while blocking down to double-team defensive tackles.
Cannon had originally been placed on the active/non football injury list back on July 29th.
