The Patriots traded out of the first round after making their second trade of the afternoon, trading the 26th selection and 162nd pick to Green Bay in exchange for the 41st (2nd round), 73rd (3rd round) and 83rd (3rd round) selections. This now gives them 13 picks.


With the 26th pick the Packers took LB Clay Matthews from USC.
