The New England Patriots made yet another roster move involving safety Ross Ventrone Wednesday, re-signing him to the practice squad and releasing cornerback Josh Victorian from the unit.

Ventrone was waived from the 53-man roster on Tuesday to make room for offensive lineman Donald Thomas. Victorian has been on and off the practice squad in recent weeks, and could return in the future. With the recent roster shuffle, here is a look at the Pats current practice squad.

In other news, rookie linebacker Jeff Tarpinian was placed on season-ending injured reserve with an illness, head coach Bill Belichick said today in his afternoon press conference. A head injury was the specific listed injury on the team's report.

Tarpinian, who made the 53-man roster as a rookie free agent, was one of the Patriots' top special teams tacklers this season and made his first career start vs the New York Jets two weeks ago. Replacing Tarpinian is wide receiver Tiquan Underwood.
