On Wednesday, Patriots owner Robert Kraft spoke with reporters. Mr. Kraft spoke for about 2o minutes and got emotional when he talked about Myra Kraft. Definitely heartbreaking to watch Mr. Kraft talk about Myra. Hard to see a great man lose something he loved so much after all the work he has dedicated to this team and the NFL. Kraft later called Myra "the real deal."
Before Robert Kraft talked about Myra, he touched on Patriots All-Pro offensive lineman Logan Mankins - maybe even broke a little news in the process.
The Patriots owner said a deal for Logan Mankins could be finished "soon" and he would be a "Patriot for life" according to multiple reporters in attendance on Wednesday afternoon.
Maybe it is wrong for me to do, but I assume Mr. Kraft would not say a comment like that unless the deal was making progress. Contract negotiations between the Pats organization, Logan Mankins, and Agent Frank Bauer have been tumultuous, to say the least. However, the latest comments by Mr. Kraft offer hope to Patriots Nation that a deal could be done shortly.
