File this under clearly someone had way too much time on their hands.

The Wall Street Journal's Geoff Foster went back and watched every single postgame press conference from this season, tallying seven times that Bill Belichick cracked a smile in front of reporters while documenting the circumstances surrounding each one.

According to Foster, who went back through the 114.5 minutes of footage, this means that Belichick smiles at a rate of once every 16 minutes.

Foster also documented one "laugh", which came after former Patriot linebacker Rosevelt Colvin surprised his old coach in the press room with a question about who was the best linebacker he ever coached from the city of Indianapolis.

He also included screenshots from each one, so for anyone who wants further details, you can view the full story here.

No word yet if Foster is brave enough to go back through and tackle every single midweek media session.
