It would be hard to imagine #4 not on the field with seconds remaining for the Patriots, but it appears that the possibility may be rapidly approaching.

According to the Boston Herald, the franchise's all-time leading scorer was apparently a hot topic at the scouting combine yesterday, with the buzz reportedly centering on an unlikely potential suitor - the Green Bay Packers.
The Packers are apparently currently in negotiations with their own free agent kicker, Ryan Longwell, but according to the newspaper should Vinatieri become available the Pack are rumored to be considering letting Longwell walk and making a run at Vinatieri.
Earlier this week, Patriots coach Bill Belichick said the team accepted that Vinatieri could become a free agent.
" If we don't do a deal with him, then he'll be a free agent," Belichick told the newspaper. "We've had players in free agency before, and we'll have them again. It takes two parties to make a deal."
