Wondering what to expect tonight? Well it appears that for the second straight season injuries to the offensive line will likely result in a short outing for New England's starting quarterback, which will obviously be Tom Brady. Back-up quarterback Damon Huard will likely see a fair amount of time since he will be the man who will need to carry New England in the event Brady suffers any injuries this season. The team also has third-string quarterback Rohan Davey, but Davey has reportedly gotten off to a slow start in learning the offense and will probably not see as much time on the field.
Wide receiver Deion Branch may get an opportunity to show what he can do against the Giants Starters. Branch has shown excellent speed and great hands during camp, and with Troy Brown out will have a chance to see if he can do it against an NFL defense.
Meanwhile former second round draft choice Adrian Klemm will likely see a lot of action with the absence of Matt Light who will sit out Saturday night's game. Klemm may be looking at his final chance to make an impact with the Patriots after injuries have set him back during his first couple of seasons.
The Boston Herald reported on Saturday that the Patriots worked out at a pair of veteran linebackers late last week, O.J. Brigance and Mike Morton. Both have played primarily on special teams throughout their careers, and with one open roster spot to fill Belichick may be looking to improve the depth at that position.
