After missing the first two exhibition games, it sounds like Patriots safety James Sanders is finally going to see some action.
Sanders sat out both of New England's wins against Jacksonville and Tampa Bay, but just Tweeted a few minutes ago that he's excited to play tomorrow night, which obviously signals the fact he'll likely be in the line-up when New England takes on Detroit in their third preseason game.
Tweeted Sanders, "Excited about the opportunity to play tomorrow! #Leggo!!!"
Sanders has been nursing a hamstring injury that plagued him throughout most of training camp, but recently returned to practice and told Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald that he's ready to compete and feels like he's gotten better as a player.
"You never know what to expect," Sanders said. "I'm competing to be the No. 1 guy out there, and whatever the coaches feel is best for the team, that's what they're going to do. All you can do is go out there and prepare your hardest. I feel like I've gotten better. Just hoping when the lights come on, I'm one of those 11 guys on the field."
Thankfully he'll finally be one of those 11 for the first time this year tomorrow night.
