The Patriots reportedly had a couple of players in for a visit on Thursday, with free agent New York Jets defensive tackle Shaun Ellis and Miami Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder both visiting Foxboro.
Ellis' visit likely means they're still mulling their options on the defensive line, with Raheem Brock being taken out of the mix after he re-signed with the Seattle Seahawks yesterday.
ESPN's John Clayton was the one who reported the Crowder visit, saying that the team brought the free agent linebacker in for a physical, but says, it is too early to tell if they will make him an offer. The Patriots recently had Matt Roth in for a workout earlier this week.
Crowder's visit is interesting because as Ian Rapoport of the Herald pointed out on Twitter, fans may remember this little tustle between he and Light, although I'm sure they can put it behind if he comes here.
