Opening night against the Dolphins...it's been a long time since a game against Miami meant this much. However, the Patriots will look to rebound from a frustrating playoff loss against the Jets by starting the 2011 season off against their other AFC Rival - Miami.
Provided the season starts on time, Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald reported on Tuesday night that the Patriots will open the season at Miami for a Monday night match-up on September 12th.
Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports that the Jets will visit New England in week five, which comes as New York's third straight road game (they reportedly play out in Oakland, followed by at Baltimore before visiting Foxboro).
According to Mike Reiss the team announced that three of its first four games will be on the road.
Rapoport also reports the team will host a game at home on Christmas Eve.
The schedule is set to be announced later this evening, and we'll have more as it becomes available.
