On his reaction to getting his 200th win:<\/b><\/p>\n
It was a great win for our team. \u00a0We didn\u2019t play as well as we wanted to, but we made the plays when we needed to. \u00a0It\u2019s a Division game on the road…it\u2019s always a tough team to play. \u00a0I thought they played really well and I\u2019m glad we just made the plays there at the end.<\/span><\/p>\n On the touchdown pass to Malcolm Mitchell and the fumble before he threw it:<\/b><\/p>\n I was trying to put it in [Julian Edelman]\u2019s pocket, and it just hit off his hip and dropped it on the ground and I kind of picked it up pretty quick, so I figured I could kind of gather, and then Malcolm did a great job kind of running across the back end line there. \u00a0It gave him a chance to make the play. \u00a0He made a great catch, he made a lot of great catches today. \u00a0So, not how we drew it up, but it worked.<\/span><\/p>\n On the amount of trust he\u2019s built up with Malcolm Mitchell since he\u2019s been here:<\/b><\/p>\n A lot. \u00a0I think Malcolm\u2019s really done a great job really gaining everybody\u2019s trust because he shows up every day, works his butt off, is so committed to the team. \u00a0It means a lot to him, football matters and he\u2019s come through in the clutch. \u00a0So, keep giving him opportunities.<\/span><\/p>\n On how he\u2019s feeling.<\/b><\/p>\n I\u2019m happy the week\u2019s over. \u00a0It was a long week.<\/span><\/p>\n On if he thinks the knee injury hampered him, being his plant foot, etc:<\/b><\/p>\n I think everybody\u2019s battling through different things. \u00a0You just do the best you can do. \u00a0It\u2019s a long season. \u00a0Every week starts fresh again. \u00a0I\u2019m glad it\u2019s over, but I\u2019m glad we won.<\/span><\/p>\n On if it ever goes through his mind to sit out a game to get his knee healthy.<\/b><\/p>\n Nope. \u00a0Nope. \u00a0No.<\/span><\/p>\n On what he saw on the second touchdown pass to Malcolm Mitchell:<\/b><\/p>\n Well, we stacked the receivers and Darrelle [Revis] played over the top of it and we did a good job breaking flat on that quick out there and Malcolm made a nice catch and got in the end zone. \u00a0It was a really good play. \u00a0It was a great call by Josh [McDaniels], something we hadn\u2019t really shown and we needed it. \u00a0We needed it at that time.<\/span><\/p>\n On how he\u2019d describe the 4th down play to James White:<\/b><\/p>\n He made a great play because the ball was thrown short of the sticks and if we don\u2019t make that play, it\u2019s hard to win the game. \u00a0We still had three timeouts and they would have got the ball and maybe we could have stopped them, but that was a game-winning play, championship type play that James made. \u00a0He did enough to kind of shake off the tackle and get the first down, it was just a great play. \u00a0There were a lot of great plays we needed there in the last seven minutes of the games. \u00a0It wasn\u2019t our best effort, but that\u2019s happens in these games sometimes.<\/span><\/p>\n On how important it is for him, as a leader, to play through injuries to set an example:<\/b><\/p>\n Well, everybody is going to try to do different things and I try to show up and just do my best. \u00a0Like I said, I don\u2019t think everyone\u2019s feeling great this time of year so, just do the best you can do and I\u2019ll try to do the same this week.<\/span><\/p>\n On what he saw out of Darrelle Revis:<\/b><\/p>\n He\u2019s a great player. \u00a0He\u2019s been a great player for a long time. \u00a0I have a lot of respect for him and what his abilities are and I thought he played really well.<\/span><\/p>\n On the fact he said it was a long week and what made it a long week for him:<\/b><\/p>\n Well, it\u2019s a tough team to prepare for and there\u2019s a lot of time I wish I\u2019d have spent on the practice field that I was spending getting treatment. \u00a0So I\u2019d rather have more time to prepare mentally and on the practice field than kind of doing what happened. \u00a0But that\u2019s the way it goes. \u00a0You\u2019re not going to practice every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. \u00a0I mean, you\u2019d love to, but that\u2019s probably not the reality for most guys in the league. \u00a0It was Thanksgiving week, it was kind of a different week in and of itself, but I had a chance to get out there on Friday and run around a little bit, and the coaches put me in. <\/span><\/p>\n On his throws sailing and if he had a hard time getting in a rhythm and if he had to make any adjustments because it:<\/b><\/p>\n I\u2019d have to watch the film but you\u2019re right, I wasn\u2019t hitting the ones that were there early. \u00a0We just couldn\u2019t make enough plays to stay on the field to put pressure on those guys and we need to do a better job of that, but I can certainly do a better job.<\/span><\/p>\n On where the 200th win milestone ranks for him:<\/b><\/p>\n It\u2019s a team sport. \u00a0Individual awards and things like that, it means I\u2019ve been a part of a lot of really great teams with great coaches and great teammates and I\u2019ve had a lot of great support over the years.
