No Cornerback ran under 7.00 in the 3-cone which is disappointing.\u00a0 Only 5 players performed the 3-Cone drill which indicates quickness and change of direction.<\/p>\n

Daylen Everette Georgia<\/strong> \u2013 4.38 40 (2) 6\u2019 1\u2019\u2019 196 lbs, 31 7\/8\u2019\u2019 Arm, and 9 5\/8\u2019\u2019 hand.\u00a0 His tape is mediocre, but you can\u2019t argue with his athleticism.<\/p>\n

Chandler Rivers Duke <\/strong>\u2013 4.4 40 (3) \u2013 5\u2019 9 1\/2\u2019\u2019, 185 lbs, 29 3\/8\u2019\u2019 Arm 9 1\/2\u2019\u2019 hand.\u00a0 solid DB that can cover.\u00a0 Height will keep him as a Day 2 pick.<\/p>\n

Chris Johnson San Diego State<\/strong> \u2013 4.4 (3) 6\u2019 0\u2019\u2019, 193 lbs, 30 5\/8\u2019\u2019 Arm, 9 7\/8\u2019\u2019 Hand \u2013 Proved he has the speed<\/p>\n

Charles Demmings Stephen F Austin<\/strong> \u2013 4.41 (5), 42\u201d Vert (2), 11\u2019 BJ.\u00a0 6\u2019 1\u2019\u2019, 193 lbs, 32\u2019\u2019 Arm, and 10 1\/8\u2019\u2019 hand.\u00a0 Demmings made himself some money with his incredible performance.\u00a0 His Relative Athletic Score was 9.97 out of 10.\u00a0 That is the 10th<\/sup> highest of 2779 CBs since 1987.<\/p>\n

Deangelo Ponds Indiana<\/strong> \u2013 43.5 Vert (1), Did Not Run 5\u2019 9\u2019\u2019 182 lbs\u00a0 29 3\/8\u2019\u2019 Arm, and 9 5\/8\u2019\u2019 hand.\u00a0 He is strictly a slot corner<\/p>\n

Tacario Davis Washington<\/strong> –\u00a0\u00a0 4.41 (5), 37\u201d Vert, 10\u20193\u201d BJ.\u00a0 6\u20194\u2019\u2019, 194 lbs, 33 3\/8\u2019\u2019 Arm, and 9 1\/4\u2019\u2019 hand \u2013 A big CB that tested extremely well.<\/p>\n

Safeties<\/strong><\/h4>\n

What a great group of Safeties.\u00a0 Not a good year for Jaylinn Hawkins to be a Unrestricted Free Agent.\u00a0 Depending upon his decision to accept another offer from an NFL team or if he comes back to the Patriots, will determine if Safety is a need for the Patriots.\u00a0 I expect with the depth at this position, the patriots will take a Safety no matter what Hawkins does.<\/p>\n

Dillon Thieneman Oregon<\/strong> –\u00a0 4.35 40(4), 41\u201d Vert (2), 6\u2019 0\u2019\u2019 201 lbs, 31 3\/8\u2019\u2019 Arm, 9\u2019\u2019 Hand.\u00a0 He is true ballhawk and had 10 Interceptions in his career.\u00a0 As a freshman at Fresno State he had 126 tackles.<\/p>\n

Lorenzo Styles Ohio State<\/strong> –\u00a0 he is the brother of Sonny Styles 4.27 40 (1), he had back to back 4.38\u2019s Unofficial times.\u00a0 \u00a06\u2019 0 1\/2\u2019\u2019, 194 lbs, 31 5\/8\u2019\u2019 Arm, 9 1\/2\u2019\u2019 hand.\u00a0 He is a converted WR that is still learning the position<\/p>\n

Robert Spears-Johnson Oklahoma<\/strong> \u2013 4.32 40 (2), 6\u2019 2\u2019\u2019, 205 lbs, 32 1\/2\u2019\u2019 Arm, 10 3\/8\u2019\u2019 hand.\u00a0 Excellent size \/ speed ratio and a player the Patriots should be interested in.<\/p>\n

Bud Clark TCU<\/strong> \u2013 4.41 40, 38\u201d Vert (4), 10\u20197\u201d BJ (3), 6\u2019 1\u2019\u2019, 188 lbs, 31 1\/2\u2019\u2019 Arm, and 9\u2019\u2019 hand.\u00a0 He has that make up speed that is needed at Free Safety.\u00a0 He is another player the Patriots should be interested in.<\/p>\n

Genesis Smith Arizona<\/strong> \u2013 Did Not Run, 42,5\u201d Vert (1), 10\u20198\u201d BJ (2) 6\u2019 2\u2019\u2019, 202 lbs, 32 1\/2\u2019\u2019 Arm, and 8 7\/8\u2019\u2019 hand.\u00a0 He will be a Day 2 pick ad a big Safety.<\/p>\n

VJ Payne \u00a0Kansas State<\/strong> \u00a0– 4.4 40, 35\u201d Vert, 10\u20197\u201d BJ \u00a06\u2019 3\u2019\u2019, 206 lbs, 33 3\/4\u2019\u2019 Arms, and 9 1\/2\u2019\u2019 hands.\u00a0 A relative unknown put up big numbers in the measurements.\u00a0 Long arms and a good 40 will force the scouts to go back and look at his videos.<\/p>\n

Overall this group of Defensive Prospects are the fastest the league has ever seen at the Combine.<\/p>\n

Tight Ends <\/strong><\/h4>\n

A definite position of need for the Patriots and I expect the Pats to take two TEs in this draft.\u00a0 Wow is the only word to describe the speed of this group.<\/p>\n

Kenyon Sadiq Oregon<\/strong> \u2013 4.39 40 (1), 43.5 Vert (2), 11\u20191\u201d BJ (2) 6\u2019 3\u2019\u2019, 241 lbs, 31 1\/2\u2019\u2019 Arms, 10\u2019\u2019 hands.\u00a0 Definitely a 1st<\/sup> round pick.\u00a0 He broke the record for the 40 by any TE in the history of the Combine.<\/p>\n

Eli Stowers Vanderbilt<\/strong> \u2013 4.5 40 (2), 45.5 Vert (1), 11\u2019 3\u201d BJ (1), 6\u2019 4\u2019\u2019, 239 lbs, 32 5\/8\u2019\u2019 Arms, and 9 3\/4\u2019\u2019 hand.\u00a0 The former QB turned TE is not an inline blocker but is a nightmare for Defensive Coordinators.\u00a0 His YAC is incredible, and he is a big target in the Red Zone. \u00a0\u00a0I don\u2019t think he will be available for the Patriots if they don\u2019t take him in the 1st<\/sup> round.<\/p>\n

RJ Maryland SMU<\/strong> \u2013 4.51 40 (2) 6\u2019 4\u2019\u2019, 236 lbs, 32 1\/4\u2019\u2019 Arm, and 9\u2019\u2019 Hand.\u00a0 Another under the radar prospect.\u00a0 He is the sone of former #1 overall selection Russell Maryland.<\/p>\n

Dallen Bentley Utah<\/strong> \u2013 4.62, 6\u2019 4\u2019\u2019, 253 lbs, 33 1\/8\u2019\u2019 Arm, 9 1\/4\u2019\u2019, hand.\u00a0 Very reliable pass catcher and a decent in-line blocker.\u00a0 He is a player the Pats should consider on Day 3.<\/p>\n

Sam Roush Stanford<\/strong> \u2013 4.7 40\u00a0 38.5\u2019 Vert (3) 7.08 3-Cone Drill, 6\u2019 6\u2019\u2019, 267 lbs, 30 5\/8\u2019\u2019 Arms, 10\u2019\u2019 hands.\u00a0 He is the best inline blocker in the draft and can provide some help in the pass game.\u00a0 He has had an issue with drops and that also showed up in the Senior Bowl practices.<\/p>\n

Marlin Klein Michigan<\/strong> \u2013 4.61 40 9\u20199\u201d BJ, 6\u20196\u201d, 248 lbs., 32 3\/8\u2019\u2019 Arm, 9 1\/4\u2019\u2019 Hand.\u00a0 He looked very fluid and at ease in the Gauntlet drill.\u00a0 Will provide good blocking too.<\/p>\n
