First, we must note who didn\u2019t participate in the game.\u00a0 All week, we heard these names mentioned as players who dominated the practices.\u00a0 They must have determined they did enough in the practices before the scouts, and the risk of getting hurt in a game was not worth taking.\u00a0 The following players didn\u2019t play:<\/p>\n

Only three players that are projected by NFL Network\u2019s Daniel Jeremiah to go in the 1st<\/sup> round practiced this week.\u00a0 Parker and Hunter didn\u2019t play in the game.\u00a0 Gennings Dunker RT Iowa is the only player projected to go in the 1st<\/sup> round that actually played.<\/p>\n

From my observation, the Players of the game were:<\/p>\n

QB Garrett Nussmeir<\/strong>, LSU<\/strong> \u2013 The conditions were brutal with 30-degree temps falling much lower with a strong 30 MPH wind.\u00a0 His run on a Run Pass Option in the 1st quarter was a thing of beauty.\u00a0 He read the DE (Max Llewellyn) crashing down on the back and kept the ball and ran it into the End Zone.\u00a0 He was 5\/8 for 57 yards.\u00a0 He was credited with an INT, but that was clearly TE John Michael Gyllenborg’s fault, with the ball slipping right through his hands and into S Deshon Singleton’s hands.<\/p>\n

Malachi Fields<\/strong>, WR<\/strong>, Notre Dame<\/strong> – The big (6\u20194\u201d) receiver was dominant during the game.<\/span><\/p>\n

American Runningbacks<\/strong> \u2013 Kaelon Black<\/strong>, Indiana<\/strong>, Jadyn Ott<\/strong>, Oklahoma<\/strong> (TD), and Mike Washington<\/strong>, Arkansas<\/strong>, all ran well.\u00a0 The O line was dominant in the 1st<\/sup> Quarter, especially behind OT Max Iheanachor.\u00a0 Black had 8 carries for 45 yards and a 5.8 YPC.<\/p>\n

Max Iheanachor, OT, Arizona State<\/strong> \u2013 he dominated practices and showed up huge in this game.\u00a0 He threw key blocks on Nussmeier\u2019s and Ott\u2019s TDs.\u00a0 He also had at least three pancake blocks. He plays nastily, and he has made himself a lot of money this week.\u00a0 I had him on my initial Mock Draft as a 4th<\/sup> Round pick (130).\u00a0 In my next Mock Draft, I have the Patriots taking him at the end of the 2nd<\/sup> round (64).\u00a0 Daniel Jeremiah claimed that Iheanachor is pushing to get into the 1st<\/sup> Round.<\/p>\n

Bryce Boettcher<\/strong>, LB<\/strong>, Oregon<\/strong> \u2013 he had a great game with 12 Tackles and a pass breakup.\u00a0 \u00a0He played a lot with Rodriguez and Louis opting out.\u00a0 \u00a0Boettcher is ranked as a late-round pick only because he has an option to play baseball.\u00a0 In 2024, Boettcher had a breakout season where he batted .276 with 12 home runs, 35 RBI, and 15 stolen bases, earning a collegiate Gold Glove. \u00a0After the season, he was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 13th round of the 2024 MLB draft. \u00a0He has not played in the minor leagues yet.<\/p>\n

Ndame Tucker, EDGE, Western Michigan<\/strong> – I can\u2019t believe he was selected as Defensive Player of the Game.\u00a0 He had 2 Sacks, 3 Tackles for Loss, and a Forced Fumble.\u00a0 He is a player the Patriots might be interested in on Day 3 if they don\u2019t go for an Edge player early in the draft.<\/p>\n

Vincent Anthony, EDGE, Duke<\/strong> \u2013 He had a heck of a game with a Sack and 2 Fumble Recoveries.<\/p>\n

Zion Young, EDGE, Missouri – <\/strong>He\u00a0had a good game as well and was selected as the 2026 Senior Bowl Most Outstanding Player of the game.<\/p>\n

Quintayvious Hutchins<\/strong>, EDGE<\/strong>, Boston College<\/strong> \u2013 He came into the game as an unknown player.\u00a0 The scouts know who he is now!\u00a0 For the game, he had 3 Tackles for Loss, including stuffing QB Cole Payton at the goal line on a 2-point conversion try.\u00a0 The 6\u20191\u201d, 244-pound played on the EDGE for BC, but his lack of size means he won\u2019t be there in the Pros.\u00a0 He had 4.65 speed and should move to OLB.<\/p>\n

A player who had a difficult time in the game was OT, Jude Bowry, BC<\/strong>. \u00a0\u00a0He played at Right Tackle and was a turnstile all day.\u00a0 Some players, like the Patriots’ Caeden Wallace, can\u2019t make the switch to the opposite side.\u00a0 Bowry played left Tackle at BC.\u00a0 Daniel Jeremiah, the NFL Network Draft analyst, said that Bowry should be moved inside to guard.\u00a0 I had those same thoughts weeks ago when I had Bowry as a Patriots pick in a mock.\u00a0 I was thinking of moving him to Left Guard.<\/p>\n

Dartmouth College Delby Lemieux<\/strong> was an Ivy League star at OT.\u00a0 He received an invite to the Senior Bowl and learned to play Center.\u00a0 The 6\u20195\u201d, 305-pound lineman from Hanover, Massachusetts, played Center and Guard, and he threw the big block that sprung Kejon Owens for a National team TD.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
