Day one of Training Camp is in the books.\u00a0 The team started practice by bringing out newly adopted dogs to their new owners.\u00a0 The Players brought the pets out to the families.\u00a0 It was a cute gesture the Patriots had with three shelters bringing dogs for adoption.\u00a0 The highlight was Stephon Diggs bringing his small dog out and putting him on the ground, but forgetting to grab the leash.\u00a0 The dog immediately scampered away with Diggs chasing after him.\u00a0 Diggs really tested that knee chasing the dog, eventually pressing the canine up against a fence.<\/p>\n
Drake Maye was impressive in 11 on 11 with 8 completions out of 9 attempts.\u00a0 The one incompletion should have been an interception by Jabrill Peppers who bobbled the pass and let it fall to the ground.\u00a0 Maye made a good throw to Kyle Williams, beating Christian Gonzalez. Williams went up and snatched the ball away from Gonzalez.\u00a0 Diggs was the recipient of the 1st<\/sup> pass from Maye.\u00a0 Later in the practice, Williams was coming free on a post-corner route, but Maye didn\u2019t see him.\u00a0 Maye checked down to complete a pass to Diggs.<\/p>\n The Offensive line is still a big question mark.\u00a0 The starters were Campbell at LT, Strange at LG, Bradbury at C, Onwenu at RG and Moses at RT.\u00a0 Moses gave up two sacks and didn\u2019t look good.\u00a0 Campbell also struggled, giving up a sack to Keion White.\u00a0 Jarod Wilson got some snaps at C and then at LG.\u00a0 Caedan Wallace was the 2nd<\/sup> team LG.<\/p>\n It is very hard to gauge practices in shorts and shells.\u00a0 Let\u2019s see what the O-line looks like in one-on-ones once the pads come on.\u00a0 Keon White was one of the players that would have been credited with a sack.<\/p>\n Stephon Diggs was not a full participant in practice during the final two 11 11 sessions.\u00a0 This is not a concern and should be an expectation for further practices.<\/p>\n Jahlani Tavai came off PUP list, and Carlton Davis and Jeremiah Webb were lifted off the NFI lists.\u00a0 Mack Hollins was dressed but did work on the lower field.\u00a0 The one player that wasn\u2019t listed on either list was Ja\u2019Lynn Polk.\u00a0 He rode the stationary bike and worked on the lower field and didn\u2019t participate in practice.\u00a0 Vrabel announced that Josh Minkins should be off the NFI in a few days.\u00a0 Vederian Lowe and Austin Hooper remain on PUP.<\/p>\n In another surprise on the first day of camp was that Jabrill Peppers and Kyle Dugger were on the field together at the start for the 1st<\/sup> team Defense.\u00a0 Craig Woodson and Dell Pettus were next up followed by Jaylinn Hawkins and Marcus Epps.<\/p>\n \u201cEffort and finish is our number one goal out there on every play,” Robert Spillane said in a post practice interview. “It starts with that and ends with that.
