Here’s the full transcript of newly signed New England Patriots<\/strong><\/a> quarterback Nathan Rourke from his media session on Thursday:<\/p>\n

On what these last few days have been like:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“It’s been a whirlwind.\u00a0 A lot of information.\u00a0 A lot of new faces.\u00a0 A lot of new people.\u00a0 But it’s been good so far, yeah.”<\/p>\n

On the conversations with Bailey Zappe, picking the brains of other QBs:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Yeah, it’s\u00a0 been great.\u00a0 Yeah, I mean, obviously trying to learn the system and these guys have obviously got a handle on things so it’s been great to talk to him and Mac [Jones] and try to get a sense with that.\u00a0 But I think they also get the sense that we all love football, which is cool to be in the same room with people like that.”<\/p>\n

On if he has any connections with anyone in the locker room:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Yeah, I played with JaMycal [Hasty], we were both in Jacksonville this year.\u00a0 I know some people who kind of know some people, that’s kind of how football works, right?\u00a0 But I mean, I didn’t go to school with any of them.”<\/p>\n

On playing for the Patriots:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Yeah, I’m honored.\u00a0 It’s a great organization.\u00a0 I have a lot of respect for this league, and obviously a lot of respect for coach Belichick and coach O’Brien.\u00a0 It’s been pretty cool to be here so far.”<\/p>\n

On what he brings to the table for the team:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“I’m not big on tooting my own horn, so you’ll just have to see.”<\/p>\n

On how the process has been learning the offense so far:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“It’s been a lot.\u00a0 I think football’s football to a certain extent but learning the language this far into it has been difficult.\u00a0 But I don’t put it past myself to be able to pick it up.\u00a0 Doing my best and the guys are supporting me as best as possible.”<\/p>\n

On if there are any similarities for him:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“For sure.\u00a0 For sure.\u00a0 And like I said, football’s football so you just have to kind of piece it together and figure out how they do things and kind of assimilate.”<\/p>\n

On how much he appreciates this opportunity:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“A lot.”<\/p>\n

On his early impressions of Bill O’Brien:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“He’s been great to work with so far.\u00a0 Good football mind.\u00a0 Good coach.\u00a0 A lot of respect for him going in, so it’s been good to work with him so far.”<\/p>\n

On if he was surprised the Patriots claimed him:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“A little bit, yeah.\u00a0 But that’s how things work.\u00a0 I think just being part of the league, people leave and find new places all the time.\u00a0 The role I was in, you knew it was possible so definitely a little bit surprised but glad it happened and excited for this opportunity.”<\/p>\n

On if he knows his way around yet:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Yeah, getting to know this building … it’s a little bit of a maze at first.\u00a0 Definitely gotten lost a couple times.”<\/p>\n

On if any of the guys brought up the play he made during the preseason that went viral:<\/strong><\/p>\n
