Bill Belichick spoke to reporters on Wednesday and confirmed that Mac Jones will indeed be the starter when New England heads to Las Vegas this week ahead of their match-up against the Raiders.<\/p>\n
When asked whether or not Jones will start, Belichick told reporters, “Yeah, we’re not making any changes.”<\/p>\n
He also revealed that after giving players Monday off, the club did get together on what’s normally a day off for players on Tuesday, confirming the club did hold a practice session yesterday.<\/p>\n
“[We] worked on some of the things I think will help us in a game,” he said when asked what they were able to accomplish.\u00a0 “Help us play better football.”<\/p>\n
Obviously, the talk following Sunday’s game was “starting all over.”\u00a0 Belichick was asked what that would specifically entail, and as expected, he didn’t offer much detail other than a basic reply.<\/p>\n
“It’s what I just said,” he said.\u00a0 “Fundamentals, things that will help us play better.”<\/p>\n
Belichick was also asked if that went all the way back to the coaching staff and he said it entails “everyone,” including some self-reflection of his own.<\/p>\n
So we’ll see what this all means.\u00a0 But as of Wednesday, judging by the bags under Belichick’s eyes, there have been a significant number of hours put in as the club tries to right the ship coming off what’s certainly been a rough two weeks.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
