On the fact they were playing without a lot of guys and if he feels they had enough to win:<\/b><\/p>\n
Yeah, I think we knew it was going to be a fourth quarter game, so I thought we did a good job battling to the end. You know, we just didn’t make enough plays\u00a0or\u00a0score enough points. \u00a0But I wish we\u2019d have won it. \u00a0That\u2019s a good football team and they\u2019ve got a lot of good players and they played pretty well so we certainly had our chances but just didn’t come away with it.<\/span><\/p>\n On if he agreed with the decision to go ahead and kick it and try and play some field position in overtime:<\/b><\/p>\n You know, whatever coach decides, that\u2019s what the team does. \u00a0We as players, we\u2019ve just got to play better. \u00a0I don\u2019t think that there\u2019s\u2026 It wasn\u2019t like we were tracking it tracking it up and down the field, you know. \u00a0It\u2019s not like it\u2019s certainly an easy decision and I think we all have confidence that whatever coach decides, you know, we\u2019ve got to go out there and do our job and do the best we can because he’s trying to do whatever he thinks to help us win. \u00a0That\u2019s what we\u2019re all trying to do. \u00a0They just made some nice plays there in the overtime drive. \u00a0So you know, that ended up just being the difference.<\/span><\/p>\n On if he\u2019s aware of the call when the team goes out there, or if he\u2019s just as surprised as everyone else<\/b><\/p>\n I’m not sure how it happened today. \u00a0Sometimes I go out there, sometimes I don’t, so\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n On how much of a disruption it is to keep having his left tackles and other players go down:<\/b><\/p>\n It\u2019s tough. You know we\u2019ve had so many guys that have stepped in and try to do a great job. \u00a0We\u2019ve just had some bad luck. \u00a0Truthfully I think that’s just…the game always ebbs and flows and, you know, missing some guys, but like I said, I don’t think we’ve ever used those as excuses and we had opportunities to win this game and hopefully we can get healthy and we just gotta win one game next week. \u00a0I’m glad we fought to the end. \u00a0That\u2019s a good football team and we could see them again. We\u2019ve just got to do a better job if we do.<\/span><\/p>\n On what happened on the Revis interception:<\/b><\/p>\n That\u2019s just one we\u2019ve got to watch as a team. \u00a0I mean, you hate to have them happen. \u00a0I’m certainly not throwing it to him that would be my least favorite option on the play but it just so happened that\u2019s what…it didn\u2019t turn out the way we\u2019d wanted.<\/span><\/p>\n On if it makes it more bitter, the result, after showing a lot of resolve:<\/b><\/p>\n I think we have some mental toughness and, like I said, a lot of guys been in and out of the line-up, a lot of guys coming in off the street trying to play and help us win and it’s never easy and this time of the year, a lot of guys are fighting through bumps and bruises and if we just get our guys, you know, everyone one out there and practice together and see what we’re made of, you know, I think that will be a great thing. But in the meantime you\u2019ve just gotta keep individually trying to get there on the practice field and the games, see what you can do better, because, you know, you never know who’s number is going to be called, you know, in the playoffs. \u00a0So we\u2019ve all got to keep working hard, see what we can accomplish, this week in practice. \u00a0Ultimately, we\u2019ve got to go win next week, that\u2019s a huge game for us and then you\u2019ve got time to try to improve and then be at your best two weeks into the playoffs<\/span><\/p>\n On if it could simply improve with getting everyone back:<\/b><\/p>\n We\u2019ll see. \u00a0I think that all remains to be seen. \u00a0It depends on, you know, how hard we work, how well we execute. I think the better players you have out on the field, you know, certainly those guys have been some of our most dependable players for as long as they’ve been here, that always helps. \u00a0No, but I wouldn’t put it all on their shoulders. I think that all the guys who played today have to, obviously, do a better job because , you know, what we did today wasn’t good enough.<\/span><\/p>\n On if the first half and if it was hard not to get frustrated:<\/b><\/p>\n Yeah, I think we only had three drives in the first half and we scored on one, we missed two, you know, missed the third-and-one and then we had one other play in a drive that didn\u2019t go well. \u00a0So we didn\u2019t have a lot of plays out there. \u00a0We played a little bit better in the second half. \u00a0We got a big turnover that resulted in a touchdown that Jamie [Collins] ran in that really kind of gave us a big boost right there. \u00a0So we fought, we just didn’t make enough plays.<\/span><\/p>\n On the fact Matthew Slater said it\u2019s getting hard emotionally to keep seeing guys go down:<\/b><\/p>\n I know, and we\u2019ve had six or seven weeks where critical players have gone out for extended periods of time. \u00a0I don’t think anyone\u2019s feeling sorry for us, I would say that. \u00a0So we\u2019ve just got to keep, you know, the guys who can do something about it and make a difference that are on the field have to go out and try to play well and win for this team, win for the guys that aren\u2019t out there playing with us. \u00a0Every week presents different challenges and going to Miami is going to be a great opportunity for us. \u00a0It was a great opportunity being down seven in the fourth quarter to see what we\u2019re made of. \u00a0We did a good job of going down there and tying it up. \u00a0Almost made a great interception on the one that Rob [Ninkovich] batted up in the air, I mean, that could have been the game right there. \u00a0So, we\u2019re close, we just didn\u2019t make the plays in the end.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Tom Brady talks about their loss to the Jets on Sunday after the game.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":3727,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_pfeai_meta_description":"","_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_dont_email_post_to_subs":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_feature_clip_id":0,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":"","jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false},"categories":[1],"tags":[464,47,238,13],"class_list":["post-3869","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized","tag-2015-patriots-season","tag-new-york-jets","tag-postgame-transcript","tag-tom-brady"],"yoast_head":"\n
