After an already busy day of free agency, which included the addition of Raiders free agent receiver<\/strong><\/a> Nelson Agholor, the Patriots added yet another one to that group on Monday.<\/p>\n

According to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, New England reached an agreement on a three-year contract<\/strong><\/a> with 49ers free-agent wideout Kendrick Bourne.<\/p>\n

The deal is reportedly worth $22.5 million, which adds a second quality target to a receiving core that last season mostly relied on Jakobi Meyers, Damiere Byrd and N’Keal Harry.<\/p>\n

Bourne isn’t a big name, but he’s another former undrafted player with a terrific work ethic.\u00a0 The former Eastern Washington standout is entering his fifth season and is coming off a career year after finishing with 49 receptions for 667-yards and two touchdowns in 2020, including 7 receptions of 20-yards+.<\/p>\n

The reputation he appears to have is that he’s simply extremely consistent and durable, which are two traits that have obviously been lacking here in New England in recent years.\u00a0 Needless to say, it appears to be a solid addition for a group that’s been in need of some help.<\/p>\n

As we know, undrafted players have worked out pretty well here over the years so hopefully, Bourne will be another player to add his name to that list for the Patriots heading into 2021.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
