On the way the team responded tonight after losing two straight games:<\/b><\/p>\n
\u201cIt was a good team win. \u00a0There were a lot of guys who contributed. \u00a0We fought hard, I thought the defense played incredible, offensively we did enough. \u00a0I think we took advantage of some scoring opportunities and didn’t make, really, any big mistakes so that was pretty important and got the ball in the endzone when we had the chance. \u00a0So we\u2019ll just keep plugging along.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n On how big of a boost it was seeing the defense keep making plays:<\/b><\/p>\n Absolutely. \u00a0I think that’s part of complementary football and you\u2019ve got to play to your strengths and certainly our defense the last 4-5 weeks has been incredible. \u00a0So it\u2019s good when they’re on the field. \u00a0Usually you don’t think about that but our defense has done such a great job, I mean on the short field, on the muffed punt, they had a couple fourth down stops, so they just did a great job.<\/span><\/p>\n On the fact Gronkowski was a game time decision:<\/b><\/p>\n Yeah, he made a great play to start the game too. \u00a0So he\u2019s a huge influence on what we do offensively and he really toughed it out, so I\u2019m proud of him. \u00a0Had a big touchdown catch. \u00a0He\u2019s obviously a big part of what we do and it was great to have him out there. <\/span><\/p>\n On how good it was to see him out there, especially in the red zone:<\/b><\/p>\n Yeah, well offensive football is always trust and anticipation, and certainly there\u2019s nobody that I trust more than Gronk. \u00a0He\u2019s just a great player, he\u2019s a great teammate, blocking, pass protecting, obviously in the passing game, short, intermediate, deep, takes advantage of good match-ups so, he\u2019s a great player.<\/span><\/p>\n On the 45-yard play to Gronkowski where he had to throw back across and how did that play develop?<\/b><\/p>\n We were trying to get him back there so when I rolled right, probably further than normal, I don\u2019t know what happened on the play but I kind of got flushed, I knew where he was heading. \u00a0He had a linebacker on him so I thought I\u2019d give him a chance and usually he comes down with those. \u00a0So that was a great play.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Here’s what Tom Brady had to say following the Patriots win over the Texans.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":3544,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_pfeai_meta_description":"","_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_dont_email_post_to_subs":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":"","jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false},"categories":[237],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-3555","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-patriots-transcripts"],"yoast_head":"\n
