Quarterback Tom Brady may be squarely focused on bringing a Super Bowl title to Tampa Bay this upcoming Sunday, but he made sure to remind everyone back in New England he hasn’t forgotten about them.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, Brady again discussed his appreciation for the area and the all support he\u2019s still receiving from fans despite being a Buccaneer.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously any time you change teams, you don\u2019t know how it\u2019s going to go. I think there has been incredible support I\u2019ve had from the team I used to play for, all the New England fans, and I still obviously have great affection for New England,\u201d Brady said.<\/a> \u201cI said the other day, my kids were born in Boston. So, I have a lot of love for Boston and all of New England and the incredible support over the years.<\/p>\n

\u201cAgain, it was an amazing two decades of my life. I\u2019ll always have a presence there.”<\/p>\n

Many of Brady’s former Patriots teammates have also been seen rooting him on via social media all postseason and he made sure to thank them too for all their support.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have a lot of friends there,\u201d Brady went on to say. \u201cIt\u2019s just really cool to be able to have that experience in my life. And then again, have my football journey take me to somewhere else and then come down here, and play for a different team but still have incredible support. Even all the guys I used to play with in New England, I still have a lot of friends, I\u2019ve heard from so many teammates, so many of my old coaches that are wishing me luck,\u201d Brady said. \u201cIt\u2019s been really cool.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brady’s recent sentiments towards New England follow similar reminiscing shared by tight end Rob Gronkowski on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThose years in New England mean everything to me,\u201d Gronkowski said during<\/a> Super Bowl \u201cOpening Night.\u201d \u201cThat\u2019s where I started my career. That\u2019s where the legend of Gronk started. That\u2019s where it boomed. I appreciate those times. I am grateful for all those times. Just everything there. I learned so much throughout those times. I feel like I grew throughout those times, throughout my time in New England.”<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like I learned so much information just about the game of football, about the game of life, just everything overall throughout my nine years there. My family, my friends that I met throughout my time there. Just the people. Just everything. Just the atmosphere. Those times are appreciated.”<\/p>\n

\u201cThat will always be in a special place in my heart throughout those nine years that I was there. I have definitely taken some of those lessons I\u2019ve learned and brought them with me to the next chapter in my life, too, and it has definitely helped me out to get to where I am now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Assuming fans will be hopefully be allowed back, the Tampa Bay Buccaneer’s are scheduled to have a Brady\/Gronk homecoming game at Gillette Stadium during the 2021 season but for now, it’s onto their sixth Super Bowl appearance together.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
