FOXBORO, MA — Two Owen Pochman field goals including one of 53 yards out gave New England the lead at the half 6-0 during their preseason opener at Foxboro Stadium.<\/p>\n
The Patriots have suffered one setback, however, with wide receiver Torrance Small being carried off the field by his teammates with a leg injury.<\/p>\n
Observations:<\/p>\n
1) Damon Huard played extremely well and appears to be the back up New England needed in the event Bledsoe ever goes down with an injury.<\/p>\n
2) Wide receiver David Patten made several receptions and showed good quickness<\/p>\n
3) J.R. Redmond and Antowain Smith have run the ball well.<\/p>\n
